Our partnership with Britcar
is forged in real racing....
Britcar has long been famed for its welcoming atmosphere - especially with its open grid walk for the Silverstone 24 hour race that it used to run every season. With the Championship again gaining popularity, the Britcar fanbase is expanding and will involve everyone even more, encouraging people not only to come and watch the races, but also to explore racing - the cars, drivers and teams behind it. Britcar is the Home of British Endurance Racing. 2017 will see 30+ cars on the grid across the Endurance and Production formats, easily the biggest grids that Britcar has ever seen as it goes from strength to strength under its new management team of Claire and Rob Hedley.
We are proud to work with WRO
on their journey to the stars....
WRO are on a mission to compete in the world famous Le Mans 24 Hour endurance race. Along with tens of thousands of British racing fans they made regular annual pilgrimages to La Sarthe to watch and cheer on our favourites. In 2015, they decided that instead of watching they wanted to be racing! To add even more pressure WRO decided that they wanted to be on the grid for the 100th anniversary in 2023. Having previously raced an LMP at Sebring 12 Hours WRO have a good idea of what is needed and so on return to the UK set about getting ready for the next steps in that direction. WRO currently race a heavily modified BMW Mini in the burgeoning, UK based Britcar Endurance series. The first step towards the Mulsanne Straight.
Club motorsport at its finest,
proud to be associated.
You wouldn't believe that there could be a cost effective Porsche racing series, but this successful championship certainly is one! The tightly controlled Rules and Regulations set out by the PDA (Porsche Drivers Association) are designed to provide close racing, maximum driver enjoyment and a level playing field where the emphasis is on driver skill, not the size of budgets. Most importantly, competitors and race teams alike mix well in a really friendly and welcoming paddock atmosphere at our race meetings; highly competitive it may be, but there is a real camaraderie amongst the drivers with what goes on in the paddock being almost as important as what happens on the track! The Porsche Championship has a growing list of competitors and spectators!
New friends in the BRSCC
Mazda MX5 Championship.
Mike Close started his motor sports career after completing 10 years in the military as part of the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers. A long time coming is an understatement, this is a classic example of 'car guy'. Exactly the kind of guy we at Autosport Apparel love to work with. We are so happy to be closely associated with Mike and his partner Lyndsay during the 2017 season, and can’t wait to see them achieve their targets for this year and the forthcoming seasons. The Mazda MX5 is a hugely competitive series, this year featuring up to 60 cars at a race weekend so we are going to be in for some serious racing!
Oliver Withington, our latest friend,
and a man on a mission. We are
so pleased to be on his team.
Oliver Withington is racing in the Tegiwa Honda Civic Cup in 2017 having had experience in other British hard top series including Britcar Production. With high hopes for this year Oliver has his sights firmly set on a place in the hugely popular and exciting British Touring Car Championship, a place where many greats of the past and present ply their trade. Oliver approaches his race weekend with 100% focus, has a great team and work ethic about him, and knows how to make a splash in the race paddock. Add to that levels of professionalism that are the hallmark of all successful racing drivers and we at Autosport Apparel are lucky to be working with him and his team.
